Boot Lake Inlet

Monitoring Location at Highway 22, Linwood Township
STORET SiteID = BootLakeInlet
Monitored By ACD Staff
Notes: This stream is the primary inlet to Boot Lake and is also the primary outlet of Rice Lake , which is 1/3 mile upstream of the monitoring station. Upstream of Rice Lake the stream drains a network of ditches through wetlands and sod farms. Overall, the watershed is primarily wetland, sod farm, and rural residential. The stream is small, rarely exceeding one foot in depth or five feet in width. The presence of Rice Lake just upstream of the monitoring site p rob ably dampens water level fluctuations in this stream. For example, following a 4-inch+ rainfall in early October 2005, stream levels rose only a little more than 1 foot.

Summary of Years Monitored

*Note: Not all monitored years are listed. Please refer to mapping utility for complete data. "All Years" is not an average of each year's summary statistic. Rather, it is calculated from the continuous, multi-year record.
