Precipitation monitoring occurs by a number of different individuals and agencies across Anoka County. Some of these work independently, and some are coordinated through the Anoka Conservation District, but almost all utilize the Minnesota Office of State Climatology as a central repository for data. Their online data retrieval tool allows the user to retrieve data from the monitoring station nearest their location of interest.
Generally, Anoka County is experiencing slightly above normal precipitation in 2004, with totals about 1.54 inches above normal (as of September). Above normal rainfall occurred in March, May, and September. July and August were below normal.
