In 2006 the SCWMO began monitoring Pleasure Creek, which flows through southwest Blaine and Southern Coon Rapids. Among the results, the WMO found high E.coli, especially during storms. In 2007 the results were verified. In 2008 and 2009 monitoring was expanded to diagnose the source. See the most recent monitoring reports for detailed results and direction of future work.
