Erosion Control Methods
Brush / Soil Layering
Used along the bank of steep slopes to create a new toe and bank. Layers of soil are wrapped in erosion control blanket, topped by a layer of resprouting brush, topped by another soil layer wrap, followed by another brush layer, continuing up the slope. Each subsequent soil layer, which can be 12-24" in height, should be stepped back approximately 12-24" to create a stable slope.
