Resource Assessment
When an environmental problem is suspected, ACD staff work with other state and local government agencies to perform an assessment. Often, our resource assessments are prompted by a trend or sharp change in water quality monitoring data. Resource assessments are detailed examination of a suspected problem. The purpose is to determine if a problem truly exists, and if so, define the source and appropriate action.
To date, ACD's resource assessments have been focused around our water resources: rivers, streams, and lakes. They include:
- Martin and Typo Lakes Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) Study,
Linwood (forecasted completion date: 5-05)
- Ditch 6 Chlorides Investigation,
Andover (2002)
- Ditch 66 Chlorides Investigation,
Ramsey (2001)
- Round Lake Water Levels,
Andover (interim report 2003, forecasted completion date: 4-05)
- Coon Lake feasibility study
- Coon Creek CWMP
