Welcome

Thank you for visiting Anoka County's guide to natural resources. This site is designed to help you learn about the quality and distribution of natural resources, how to manage them, and who to contact for more information or help.

How to use this site

The left column will remain as it is no matter where you are so you can navigate throughout the site without ever having to hit the "back" button.

The right column will change to highlight the features of each specific topic so you can easily navigate within a topic. In addition to the topic directory, the right column includes important links, contact information, photos, etc.

The center column with display the content related to your selections. When you print, only the center column should print.

The Toolbox to the left includes links to our interactive mapping tool and water resources database, both of which require a high speed internet connection to work well. With the mapping tool you can create a customized map with an aerial photo background that shows features like monitoring sites, soils, wetlands, land cover, and rare resources. With the database access tool you can query data of different types, for various sites during a time frame that you set. The data will be presented in easy to read charts and if you want, you can download the entire dataset as a spreadsheet.

The Google search tool can be used to search within the website, or the entire World Wide Web.

The library includes links to all of the different areas of this website.

This site is managed by the Anoka Conservation District. If you have any suggestion, please let them know. Also, stop by their website and check out their programs and services. They are listed under the Agency Directory in the lower left corner.
